Well we've been in Miami for the past three days. We've done a lot of TV shows for Latin America and yesterday we did a few hours of satellite TV interviews for North America. We also went to the Sony BMG building over there and had a nice welcome from all their executives. Now we're in New York at the Good Morning America studios. We're basically doing a whole load of early morning TV shows, which is quite handy at the moment because it works well with the jetlag! We had to get up at 5am today and I woke up at 4.30am anyway, which normally would freak me out but today I thought cool, I'll have a shower, have a coffee and go off to work! We're doing twelve-hour days but it means you're finished by 5pm so you can go to bed at 8pm and then you're fine. With all the travelling and early mornings it can be hectic, but you have to be on top of looking good for TV and your voice sounding good so it's essential to get as much rest as possible. It's been absolutely great though, everywhere we go we get a great welcome and Im really enjoying the promotional trips. We're number one in the UK and several other places in Europe which we're thrilled about, and it's very exciting to be here in America in release week getting lots of exposure. On Saturday we're going to Toronto, and Canada is one of our biggest territories, we always have sold-out tours and amazing chart positions, so it should be great! It will certainly be cold though! It's very cold here in New York at the moment: we were in Miami, where people are lying on the beach in the middle of November and its 25-30 degrees, then you come to New York and it's about 3 degrees! It feels much more Christmassy though. I'm going to try and use the next few days to do some Christmas shopping - you have to take advantage of being in amazing cities like New York and Toronto. For the few months leading up to Christmas I always try to listen very carefully when I'm talking to people to see what hints they drop, you have to keep your ears open and remember things that they'd like. The shopping part is always a bit stressful because you want to get something nice for everyone that they will really appreciate, but it's very exciting when you find the perfect thing. I love wrapping up the presents beautifully and putting them under the tree, and of course watching everyone open them.
